Family Camp Weekend

When: Friday August 30, 2024 - Sunday September 1, 2024

Where: YMCA Camp of Maine, 305 Winthrop Center Rd, Winthrop ME, 04364.

Who: Families and friends of YCamp. You may have attended camp in the past, currently have campers attending or looking to send your campers' in the future. Join us at camp this labor day weekend for lots of fun and quality time as a family.

PRICE

Adult: $180 per adult. 18+

Child: $155 per child.

Price includes: Meals from Friday Dinner - Sunday Brunch, Y Camp staff facilitating activities, all equipment for activities offered, private cabin as a family.

*We have space for 32 families. Cabins sleep 8-12 people. Once all cabins are reserved we wont be able to accommodate anymore. First come, first served.

What to Expect

Throughout the weekend YCamp staff will be providing lots of different activities for you as a family to be involved with. All meals will be provided and you will have the chance to eat inside the Dining Hall and outside just like our campers do everyday. There will be lots of time to explore camp, go fishing, swim and be with nature.

Each family will stay in one of our 32 camper cabins during the weekend. Families are required to bring their own bedding and linens. Hot Showers and toilets are centrally located by the cabins and are all accessibly friendly. Families are welcome to bring additional equipment to use throughout the weekend like fishing gear, bikes, sports equipment.

We have a full schedule of events, but the weekend is yours to spend with family and friends exploring camp and enjoying the views of Lake Cobbosseecontee. You and your family decide how much you participate.

Tentative Schedule

Friday 08/30/24

1:00pm: Check In begins in the Parking Lot. Arrive anytime between 1pm - 5:30pm. Late arrivals are understandable.

2:00pm - 5:00pm: Settle in at camp, Open Courts, Waterfront open, Camp tours

6:00pm: Welcome in the Dining Hall

6:30pm: Dinner

7:30pm - 9:30pm: Evening Program

10:00pm: Quiet Hours begin

Saturday 08/31/24

7:00am: Polar Bear swim at the waterfront

7:30am - 9:00am: Breakfast

9:30am - 12:15pm: Morning Activities: Boating, Archery, Woodshop, Basketball/Tennis/Volleyball

12:30pm: Lunch

2:00pm - 5:00pm: Afternoon Activities: Swimming, Camp Crafts, Axe throwing, Open Courts

6:00pm: Dinner

7:30pm - 8:30pm: Evening Program

9:00pm: Camp Fire

10:00pm: Quiet Hours begin

Sunday 09/01/24

7:00am: Polar Bear swim at the waterfront

7:30am - 9:00am: Cold Breakfast

9:00am - 10:00am: Camp Store Open

10:30am: Brunch

11:30am - 1:30pm: Kayak Trip - exploration of Lake Cobbosseecontee, Archery, Woodshop

2:00pm: Snack

2:00pm - 3:00pm Move out, tidy cabins, photos.

3:00pm: Departure

family camp policies

All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times throughout the weekend.
No pets are allowed during Family Camp. We love animals however for the safety of your animal and other campers please leave them at home. Service Dogs are allowed as per ADA Guidelines.
Firearms, ammunition, fireworks, knives and explosives are prohibited.
YMCA Camp of Maine is a non-smoking facility. Smoking cigarettes, cigars, vapes or other drugs are prohibited.
The waterfront and accessing the lake is off-limits when no Lifeguard is on duty.
All participants will need to sign a participant waiver.

CANCELLAtions

Registration fees are due in full at the time of registration to secure your cabin. Cancellations made before July 31 will be given a full refund, less $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after July 31st will not receive a refund. If YCamp has to cancel the event a full refund will be issued to all families signed up.

PRIVACY POLICY - The State YMCA Camp of Maine collects the names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, and email addresses for campers and their families. This information is used for internal communications and in the case of emergency only. Only required information is shared with authorized third parties for payment processing. No information is shared for external marketing.
