Financial AID

YMCA Camp of Maine will not turn anyone away for an inability to pay. The Tiered Pricing model allows families to choose an amount that is right for them. Wanting to keep YCamp affordable for families, this pricing structure provides options for families to choose an amount they can afford while working to cover the true costs of the YCamp Experience.

PROJECT 218 gathers generous donations by individuals, companies, grants, and foundations, different financial aid options are available for campers who need assistance coming to YCamp. The process for applying is easy and confidential.

Financial Aid is based on need and does not cover 100% of the tuition. Payment plans can be established to help families manage paying for camp. Occasionally, additional funding is available to help families make the YCamp Experience possible.

After interested families have completed the online registration form, they can download the Scholarship Application and return it to the office with the following information:

  • A letter stating the impact camp will have on your family
  • A copy of your latest tax return
  • Two most recent Pay Subs
  • Proof of federal &/or state assistance
  • Other supporting documentation you feel will help the Scholarship Committee reach a better decision

The Financial Aid Committee reviews applications periodically through the end of May. Once a decision has been made, an email will be sent to you with the amount being covered and what the family is responsible for.
